Alissa was born and raised in Newton, MA, and is currently in her second year of teaching 4th grade at  Our Lady's Academy in Waltham, MA.

In May 2019, she graduated from Providence College in Rhode Island with a degree in Elementary and Special Education, going on to earn her licensure in elementary (1-6), mild/moderate disabilities, and primary education (K-2).

She then taught for two years in a Kindergarten class while also working as a Behavior Therapist at Key Autism Services.
